Using backing tracks in a band is forgivable. I appreciate a band that uses tracks tastefully.Leaning on backing tracks too much makes for a boring performance. So check out Bad Veins. A Cincinnati band that seem equally into Pavement as they do the Bravery. However the part that kinda gets me in the soft part of my heart, is that they are a two piece that sing thru a modified telephone and use a reel to reel instead of a dat or hard disk recorder for the stuff they have on backing tracks. I am not sure if it is more than a two track or not but I have learned that they have named it irene. Here is a video. Not the most inventive thing I have seen but it seems to fit them.
